Owner / Funeral Service Licensee / Preneed Agent / Licensed Crematory Operator

A licensed funeral director, embalmer, preneed agent, and crematory operator, Chad, a lifelong resident of McDowell County, is a graduate of McDowell High School and Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Decatur, Georgia with 28 years of experience as a funeral service professional.

Chad and his wife, Jill have two children, a son, Zach, and a daughter, Allie. He is a member and a deacon at Rocky Pass Free Will Baptist Church.

"It is my desire to serve each family with my utmost ability during this most difficult time. I will place the wishes of families first in all services I conduct."

Owner / Administrative Assistant / Notary Public / Licensed Crematory Operator

Jill is a native of McDowell County and a graduate of McDowell High School. She is the daughter of Ray and Sarah Bright and a member of Rocky Pass Free Will Baptist Church.

She and her husband, Chad have a son, Zach, who attends McDowell High School; and a daughter, Allie who attends East McDowell Middle School.

Jill, a notary public, enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Jarrett has had a desire to be in funeral service from a very early age. He began his career in 2018 and has been apart of our staff since June 2020. He is a graduate of Fayetteville Technical Community College and is a licensed funeral director and embalmer.

Jarrett is a lifelong McDowell County resident and is a graduate of McDowell High School. He is a member of Marion Church of Christ.

Randall Davis

Funeral Service Licensee/Preneed Agent / Licensed Crematory Operator

Randall Davis began his career in funeral services in Virginia in 2010 and is a graduate of John Tyler Community College in Chester, Virginia. He has been serving families in western North Carolina, as a funeral director and embalmer since 2013.

Randall is a United States Army veteran and is active in the civic community. He enjoys international travel and is an enthusiast of music and art. Randall resides in Morganton with his wife, Rachel and their three children. They are members of Amherst Baptist Church.

Don is a lifelong resident of McDowell County and resides in the Haw Branch Community of Marion. A member and deacon of Zion Hill Baptist Church, Don and his wife of 48 years, Louann, have one daughter, Donna.

When Don is not driving a school bus for the McDowell County Schools, he spends his time gardening and raising small farm animals.

Ray and his wife of 53 years, Sarah, are members of Ashworth Road Missionary Baptist Church and reside in the Sugar Hill Community. He and his wife have three children and three grandchildren.

Ray is a car enthusiast and enjoys spending time with his family. He is a member of the Gideon's International West Camp.

A resident of Pleasant Gardens, Roy and his wife of 52 years, Billie, have two sons, William and John Moore; and three granddaughters.

Roy retired from McDowell Tech Community College where he had worked in the custodial department. He enjoys hunting and fishing, but you can find him occasionally playing his guitar and singing.

Terry and his wife Barbara currently reside in Nebo. A veteran of the United States Army, having served in Vietnam, Terry and Barbara have two sons and two grandchildren.

Jack joined our staff in December of 2019. He and his wife of 44 years, Diane are residences of Glenwood Community. They have one son, one daughter; and three grandsons.

A member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, Jack is part of the audio/video and security teams. An avid golf player, he enjoys sports cars; and is a member of the NCHSAA Basketball Officials Association.

Dickie joined our staff in August of 2020. He is married to Diane Jarrett and they have two childen, Ronica Vallini and her husband Sam and Josh Jarrett and wife, Brandi and seven grandchildren.

Dickie is a member and deacon of Turkey Cove Baptist Church and was a graduate of Glenwood High School. He also worked for Great Lake Carbon for forty three years.

Mike joined Beam Funeral Service in May 2020. He is the Choir Leader at the Yancey Street Baptist Church. He and his wife Wendy live in Nebo. They have two daughters; Amber Fulbright and April Ledbetter and her husband Austin.

Mike enjoys fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.

Jim Issacs, a resident of Marion who was born in Burke County is married to Nan. They have one daughter Meagan Isaacs who lives in Winston-Salem.

Jim's previous work career was in accounting and tax services.

Garrett joined Beam Funeral Service full-time in January 2022 and is a licensed home inspector. In 2019 he married Brittany McHone Stanley and they have one son, Keaton.

Sandra Painter is a McDowell County native who has been married to Wayne for thirty-five years. They have two children; Madison Speros and her husband Blake and one son, Levi Painter.

Sandra is a member of Faith Baptist Church and is a graduate of McDowell High School. In her spare time she likes to cook, read and have get togethers with family and friends.

John Ray Davis, went to be with the Lord on May 21, 2022 at the age of 85, while still serving families on a daily basis. John was a founding employee of Beam Funeral Service and was instrumental in its beginning. He will forever be missed and never be forgotten.

Addie Beam

"CCC" Chief Comfort Companion

Addie is a certified and licensed therapy dog who was born and trained in the Roanoke Virginia area. She is a Goldendoodle who joined our staff in August of 2019.

She is available to comfort families upon request most days at the funeral home. In her spare time, Addie lives with the Beam family and enjoys playing with the kids, fetching balls, and watching the squirrels.

Chris is licensed in funeral service in both North and South Carolina.He resides in Hudson, NC with his wife Suzy. Chris has two sons Christopher and Corey, and three grandsons.

Chris and his family enjoy the outdoors, riding bikes, playing disc golf and gardening.
