William "Eddie" Tate

Mr. William “Eddie” Tate, age 63, of Clearwater, Florida and formerly of Morganton, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020 while under the care of Brookside Hospice in Clearwater.  The son of the late Edward Lester Tate and Minnie Fullwood Tate, he was born in Nebo, North Carolina on March 07, 1957.

For many years, Eddie worked for Martin Family Ford, Crossroads and Steve White in Morganton where he proudly sold vehicles to many customers. Eddie loved his family most of all.  

Eddie is survived by his wife, Janice Tate; one daughter, Tiffany M. Trotter (Rich); one granddaughter, Valerie Trotter; one sister, Barbara Tate; and one brother Don W. Tate. 

A celebration of Eddie’s life will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Living Stone Church of God, 97 Clay Street in Marion with Pastor Arell Rutherford, Jr. and Pastor Ralph May officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
