Wilhemina Brown Buckner, 90, of Old Fort, NC, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, at 11:06 a.m. She was born on September 20, 1934, to Eula Parker of Old Fort, NC. Wilhemina was a devoted Christian whose unwavering faith and love for the Lord were evident to all who knew her. She lived a life of kindness, strength, and deep devotion to her family and faith. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel Boone Buckner (2009); her brother, Billy Lee Brown (2024); her children, Robert Keith Nail (1956), Cynthia Dawn Nail (1966), Eula Theresa Ireland (2003), and Linda Diane Franklin (2018); and her grandsons, Chad Alan Ledford (2008) and Bradley Lewis Guthrie (2009). Wilhemina is survived by her loving children:

Wilhemina’s life was a testament to faith, love, and resilience. She touched the hearts of many with her wisdom, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the lives of those she loved. A service to honor Wilhemina’s life will be held at Beam Funeral Service in Marion, NC on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Gerald Gibson and Rev. Jerry Ireland officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Cherry Springs Memorial Park.
