Whitney L. Allison

Miss Whitney L. Allison, age 29, of Old Fort, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the McDowell Hospital following a brief illness.  A native and lifelong resident of McDowell County, North Carolina, born on October 14, 1987, she was the daughter of Elton Allison and Sandie Elliott Allison of Old Fort.

A loving daughter, mother, granddaughter, sister and friend, she was a 2005 graduate of McDowell High.  Very artistic and enjoyed drawing, Whitney attended Living Waters Tabernacle Church in Old Fort. 

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving 6-year-old son, Andrew Jeremiah Allison; one brother, Dustin Allison; paternal grandmother, Helen Allison; maternal grandmother, Barbara Stevens Elliott; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A celebration of Miss Whitney's life will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Living Waters Tabernacle Church.
