Wayne Franklin Smith

Mr. Wayne Franklin Smith, age 67, of Morganton, passed away on Sunday, May 09, 2021. He was born on March 28, 1954, in Tiffin, Ohio to the late Lee Forrest and Selma Plemmons Smith.

Wayne enjoyed woodworking and mechanic work, especially on older cars. He loved his pets and watching drag racing.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters, Mildred Parker, Joyce Bates and Grace Henderson.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Darlene Bates Smith; one brother, Bryan Smith (Linda); two sisters, Lois Biddix & Doris Burnette and a number of nieces & nephews.
