Wanda Grace Lawson Greer

Wanda Grace Lawson Greer, 70, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Mission Hospital McDowell.

She was born in Old Fort on January 27, 1952 to the late John Berry Lawson and Alma Elizabeth Hampton Lawson.

Wanda was a very hard worker and had most recently worked at Baxter Healthcare. She had a big heart and loved her children and grandchildren more than herself. Wanda loved the Lord with all her heart, and her love for her family and friends was unconditional. She loved flowers and animals, and she enjoyed canning, baking, and going to yard sales.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roby Greer; and all of her siblings.

Left to cherish her memories are her five children, Frankie Greer (Cindy), Melissa Lewis, John Greer, Roby Greer (Kim), and Cindy Martin (Neil); nine grandchildren, Brandon, Kyndra, Brittany, Gracelyn, Roby, Brooke, Makenna, Brett, and John; her great grandchildren, Gage, Emmilou, Hunter, Halter, Tatum, Callie, along with four more; and her special dog, Maggie Sue.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Rev. Michael Allen Lawson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at McDowell Memorial Park.
