Walter Harvey Johnson

Walter Harvey Johnson, 82, of Union Mills, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 29, 2024.

He was born in Swain County on May 22, 1941 to Winslow Johnson and Inez Dehart Johnson who preceded him in death. 

Walter formally attended Dysartsville Baptist Church. He retired from the Dana Corporation following more than thirty years of service. Walter was an avid bee keeper which led to him becoming the owner of 226 Bee Supply. 

Including his parents, his wife, Patricia Roper Johnson and his son, Jamie Scott Johnson preceded him in death.

Left to cherish his memory are his son Sean Johnson (April); a sister Carol Burnette and two grandchildren, Cameron Johnson and Chase Johnson.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Dysartsville Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. John Cope officiating.
