Walter Thomas Crosby Jr.

Walter Thomas Crosby, Jr., 88, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Mountain Ridge Health and Rehabilitation.

He was born in Arlington, Massachusetts on November 5, 1935 to the late Walter Thomas Crosby, Sr. and Ann Claire Clarke Crosby. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joan Rowell Crosby and his oldest son, Brian Crosby.

Mr. Crosby was a retired superintendent in heavy construction. He formerly was employed with Northboro Metals, Inc. He raised his family in Marlborough, Massachusetts before moving to North Carolina later in life.

He is survived by three children, Elaine Baker, Bruce Crosby, and Stephen Crosby; one sister, Joanna Reade; sixteen grandchildren; and ten great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Massachusetts.
