Virginia Wallace

Mrs. Virginia Rutherford Wallace, age 96, of Nebo, North Carolina went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Deer Park Health & Rehabilitation. Mrs. Virginia had a love for gardening, and cut her own fire wood till she was 92. She was known to be a hard worker and would help anyone in need.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by a daughter, Christina Wallace.

She leaves behind one daughter, Ardell “Penny” Martin, her canine companion Chico, a special friend, Donna Shelton, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2017 in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with the Reverend Arell Rutherford Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. John AME Church cemetery.
