Virginia Ruth Bledsoe Noland, 94, of Marion, passed away Monday, February 2, 2026 at her niece’s residence in Nebo.
She was born in McDowell County on April 12, 1931 to the late John Bledsoe and Hortence Bradley Bledsoe. Known as a hard worker, Ruth spent her career in the textile industry, faithfully working for over 31 years at Coats America. She was an avid reader. Above all, she loved her family and friends dearly.
She is survived by her son, BJ Noland, and two sisters, Shirley Hicks and Linda Damion.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory.
