Virginia "Ginny" Lee Woody

Virginia “Ginny” Lee Woody 75, of Marion passed away at Carepartners Solace Center on Friday, April 21, 2023.

Ginny was born in McDowell County on August 3,1947 to the late Tildon Woody and the late Rosetta Strange Woody.

Ginny moved from Marion at the age of eighteen and returned to Marion after thirty years. She was a member of Clinchfield Baptist Church. Ginny enjoyed playing bingo. She loved her cats and spending time with her family.

Preceding Ginny in death including her parents are her sister, Edna Faye Mace; two brothers, James Edward Woody, and Ronald Eugene Woody; a niece Mary Ann Woody Rose and a nephew, Michael Eugene Woody.

Those left to cherish her memory include her nieces, Sonia Mace, Susie Mace, Elizabeth Guffey and Debra Paige; nephews, Adam Mace, Chris Mace, Dana Mace, Jamie Woody, Ronald Woody, Bobby Woody, David Woody and Keith Woody; sisters-in-law, Frances Orr Woody and Frances Parker Woody and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
