Tucker David Jones

Tucker David Jones, 34, of Durham, went to be with the Lord due to a sudden onset of a bacterial infection on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.

He was born on August 13, 1991 in Mitchell County. Tucker enjoyed trivia and music, and he really enjoyed spending time with his friends. He was a talented mechanic who truly enjoyed working on cars. He had a special place in his heart for his pets. Tucker was an avid gun collector. A loving son, brother, grandson, and friend, he will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Fox; maternal grandparents, Richard and Nelda Cooper; step-grandfather, Richard Sparks; and an uncle, Tim Fox.

He is survived by his father, Rick Jones and wife, Lori; a half-sister, Shaylee Jones; paternal grandmother, Cathy Jones; and step-grandmother, Marilyn Sparks.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Lily Branch Baptist Church in Bakersville. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Will Winters and Rev. Don Ford officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mitchell County Animal Rescue.
