Tiea Dawn Simmons

 Tiea Dawn Simmons, 63, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Atrium Health Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte.

 Tiea was born in McDowell County, NC on August 29, 1960, to Vaughtie McPeters Simmons and the late Harold L. Simmons. Tiea loved her family, friends, and pets. She will always be remembered for bringing laughter to the world.

 Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Vaughtie Simmons; a sister, Tanya Hunter (Steve); two nieces, Emily Sellars (Tommy) and Caitlin Proffitt (Jared); a nephew, Andrew Hunter (Sarah); two great nephews, Charlie and Jack; a great niece, Nora; and numerous friends, whom she considered family. 

 A memorial service will be held at a later date.
