Thomas Earl Stevenson

Thomas Earl Stevenson, 56, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday evening, February 09, 2021 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital.

A native of McDowell County, he was born on December 13, 1964 to the late Albert Earl Stevenson, Jr. and Betty Sparks Stevenson.

Thomas was a very Godly man who loved the Lord with all his heart. He attended Bethel Baptist Church. Next to the Lord, he loved his family, especially his children; they were his world. He enjoyed fishing, and was a very generous man who will be remembered for helping anyone.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his former wife, LaDonne Turner; a grandson, Ryder Williams; and a brother, Todd Stevenson.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Vanessa Kirby Stevenson; four children, Danielle Stevenson, Tyler Stevenson, Laramie Stevenson, and Kaley Stevenson; three step children, Ricky Bartlett, Rebecca Bartlett, and Laura Tipton; ten grandchildren; and two brothers, Chad Stevenson and Ronnie Stevenson.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Upton officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service.
