Thomas Raymond Perkins

Thomas Raymond Perkins, age 77, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, January 01, 2022 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital.

A native of Morgan County Kentucky, he was born December 24, 1944 to the late Thomas Calvin Perkins and Beatrice Stidham Perkins.

Thomas was a hard worker. He spent many years as a diesel mechanic working on tractors. He was an avid outdoorsman who especially loved fishing and hunting. He loved his dogs as well. Thomas was a good husband and brother and a wonderful daddy and grandpa.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Thomas Perkins, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Kim; and six brothers, Charlie, Robert, Orville, Arthur, Paul, and Monroe.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Hager Perkins; his granddaughter, Savannah Downs (Caleb); and three siblings, Floyd Perkins of Owensville, KY, Margaret Conley (Junior) of Grassy Creek, KY, and Maurine Perkins (Dennis) of Marion, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 04, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Victory Temple Full Gospel Church. Rev. Pete McCombs will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
