Terry Franklin Woody

Terry Franklin Woody, 59, of Marion, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025 surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy battle with cancer.

He was born in Marion on July 19, 1965 to Joyce Hughes Woody and the late Franklin Dee Woody.

Terry was known as a hard worker, and he was self-employed in the construction business his whole life. He formerly drove race cars and held a lifelong passion for classic cars and racing. It did Terry’s heart good to help the less fortunate. More than anything, he loved his family and will be greatly missed.

In addition to his mother, Joyce Woody, he is survived by his son, Casey Woody (Sierra); two grandchildren, Gunner Woody and Ransom Woody; three siblings, Randy Woody (Cheryl), Crystal Woody, and Joey Woody (April); and his nieces and nephews, Candace Peters (Anthony), Holly Woody, Dylan Woody (Hannah), Autumn Gilliland (Aaron), Brooklyn Woody, Skylar Woody, Cam Woody, Logan Woody, Hayden Peters, and Aria Woody.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 12, 2025 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service. The funeral service will begin at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor David Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sierra Woody, April Woody, and Hannah Woody for the excellent care they gave him in his battle with cancer.
