Terry Paul Stevenson

Terry Paul Stevenson, age 77, passed away peacefully at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

Born on October 24, 1948, in Marion, North Carolina, Terry was the son of the late Albert Earl Stevenson Sr. and Peggy Pittman Stevenson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Albert Earl Stevenson Jr. (Betty).

Terry is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, June Webb Stevenson; his son, Joshua Stevenson and wife Amy; three grandchildren, Natalie Stevenson, Hailey Stevenson, and Shyla Boylen; and two sisters, Linda Stevenson and Brenda Andrews (Mike).

Terry had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time working in his garden and planting flowers. He also had a great love for music, especially bluegrass and gospel. The guitar and banjo were his instruments of choice, and he found great joy in sharing his love of music with others.

For many years, Terry faithfully served as an adult Sunday School teacher. He and his family were longtime members of Victory Temple Full Gospel Church in Nebo, where his faith and dedication to his church family were an important part of his life.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service & Crematory, with Rev. Pete McCombs officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service.

Interment will follow the service at Victory Temple Cemetery.

Terry will be deeply missed by his family, friends, church family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
