Terry Lee Presnell Sr.

Terry "Pres" Lee Presnell Sr., born on July 14, 1958, in McDowell County, North Carolina, departed this world on January 21, 2026. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work and dedicated service in the lumber industry, where he spent over 35 years making a notable impact.

Terry was well-regarded for his determination and resilience, traits that served him well throughout his extensive career. Beyond his professional life, Terry found joy and fulfillment in his personal pursuits. He was a passionate sports enthusiast, proudly supporting the UNC Tarheels, and he cherished listening to music. However, nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his family, particularly his beloved grandchildren.

Terry is survived by his son, Terry Presnell Jr. and wife Pamela; his daughter Keri Presnell Taylor and her husband Donald; his brother Kevin Presnell and his wife Gina; and his sister Angie Presnell. He was a proud grandfather to Jaden Taylor, Xavier Taylor, Skylar Presnell, and Dylan Presnell. In addition, he maintained a deep bond with his former wife and best friend, Jewell Ledwell McKinney.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Junior Presnell, and his mother, Lucille Duncan Vaughn.

Services honoring Terry will be held on January 27, 2026, at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory located at 2170 Rutherford Rd, Marion, NC. The visitation will commence at 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM.

Terry's warmth, dedication, and love for his family will never be forgotten, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
