Tammy Gail Lowery Mullikin

Tammy Gail Lowery Mullikin, 57, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022 at her residence.

She was born in Avery County on September 20, 1964 to Grace Stulls Lowery and the late Ted Lowery.

Tammy attended Zion Hill Baptist Church. She worked as an aide in healthcare. She enjoyed collecting recipes and going on picnics with her friends and family, all of whom she loved dearly. She also loved to read. Her grandchildren were her world, and she enjoyed spending time with them.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Calvin Mullikin; three children, Amanda Shuford (Johnny), April Davis (Terry), and Anthony Peters (Candace); six grandchildren; two sisters, Marita Hallyburton (Marty) and Vickie Mann (Robert); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Dr. Tom Walker officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
