Tammy Renee Lunsford Letterman

Tammy Renee Lunsford Letterman, 62, of Marion, NC, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at her residence. The daughter of the late William and Tilda Anders Lunsford, Tammy was born on January 30, 1964 in McDowell County.

She was a long-time member of Nebo Crossing Church in Marion, NC. Tammy was a co-owner of the Vintage Market Marion. She loved the Lord and lived her life for her family and was a very devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She also loved animals and would happily have taken in every stray if space permitted.

Preceding her in death are grandparents, Charles and Mae Anders; parents, William and Tilda Anders Lunsford; and sister, Rosella Lunsford Racht.

Left to cherish her precious memories are husband, Rick Letterman; brother, Eddie Lunsford (Tammy); three daughters, Mandy Wallace (Jason), Tesa Bartlett, and Gabriella Jones (Jonathan); two sons, Ceil and Josiah Letterman; grandchildren, Matthew (Savannah), Mitchell (Madison), Madison (Damien), Brandon (Keiley), and Grayson; great-grandchildren, Haisley, Lakelynn, Braxton, and Blake; and nieces and nephews, EJ Lunsford (Melisa), Jason Lunsford, Tim Parton (Alexis), Chloe, Miranda, and Dakota.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 12, 2026 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Nebo Crossing Church, located at 263 Barnes Road, in Marion. A funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. and will be officiated by Pastor Bob Ritter.
