Suzanne Mya Memsen

Suzanne Mya Memsen, born on August 4, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois, departed this life on February 25, 2026, in Marion, North Carolina. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and cherished memories.

Suzanne was an individual who embraced life with joy and determination. She was a wife to Charles Memsen Jr., and a mother to her children: Stephanie Dahl Weeks, Cheyanne Dahl, and her son, Matthew.

Her passions included crafting and rock collecting, where she found solace and satisfaction in creating handmade treasures and curating a collection filled with memories of her adventures. Suzanne also dedicated her time to her plants, watching them flourish under her care, as well as caring for her beloved animals. These interests were not only hobbies but were integral to who she was—a person deeply connected to nature and creativity.

Suzanne is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and May Peterson. 

Suzanne’s warmth and spirit touched the lives of many, from her family to friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be remembered not only for her talents and interests but for her unwavering love for those around her.
