Sue Branch Rose

Sue Branch Rose, 85, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at her home with her family by her side.

She was born in the Grassy Creek Community on September 16, 1937 to the late Albert and Judy Biddix Branch. Her husband, Jim Rose, also precedes her in death; along with three children, Randy Rose, Sheila Davis and Jackie Jenkins.

Sue formerly worked with the North Carolina Department of Transportation as a maintenance worker with the highway division. Aside from work, she took great pride in her home and will be remembered as an excellent homemaker. Sue loved the Lord and was a member of Peppers Creek Baptist Church. She truly enjoyed going to church when she was able. She treasured her family and time spent with them.

She is survived by two sons, Terry Rose (Wendy) and Kenneth Rose; sister, Marie Cuthbertson (Johnny); and a number of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Snow Hill Cemetery with Rev. Daniel McMahan officiating.
