Stewart Wayne Godbold

Stewart Wayne Godbold, age 61, of Parady Drive in Marion, passed away Monday, March 16, 2026 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals in Asheville.

Born on September 5, 1964 in Henderson County, he was the son of the late James F. and Shirley Jean Dotson Godbold. He was a Christian man that read his Bible often and talked about Jesus every day. He was a self-employed general contractor. He enjoyed listening to music and playing his guitar. He also enjoyed watching the news on T.V., eating a good steak, dancing, and going to the V.F.W.

Left to cherish his memories are his spouse; Ruby Jenkins, his son; Mark Godbold, his daughters; Misty Godbold and Jamie McMinn and her husband, Brandon, his brothers; Buddy Godbold and Glenn Godbold and his wife, Laura, his sister; Susie Godbold, and five grandchildren.

In accordance with his wishes, no services are being planned at this time.

The arrangements for Mr. Godbold have been entrusted to Beam Funeral Service, Marion, NC.
