Stephen Wayne Silver

Stephen Wayne Silver, age 52, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. He was the son of the late Earl Wayne Silver and Grace Mills.

He was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church, where he enjoyed playing music and singing. Stephen was a man of strong conviction and was a fighter to the end. He loved helping others and always had a sense of humor. He also enjoyed traveling and sightseeing with his best friend and fiancé, Maria. Stephen was a proud US Army Veteran, who served in Desert Storm.

Left to cherish his memory is his fiancé, Maria Davis; his in-laws, Rev. Harold and Joyce Davis; his step mother, Phyllis Mowell; his step son, Landon Dirhold; his daughter, Angel Silver; five siblings, Suzanne Massey (Darrell), Samuell Silver (Amanda), Sloane William Silver, Janet Rose (Troy) and Michael Stiers; three sister-in-laws, Rebecca Ellison (David), Donna Leonard (Mike) and Vandalyn Rose (Brian); and Jaxson, Jensen and Adalie, whom he thought of as grandchildren.

The family would like to send a special thanks to all of the hospital staff at Mission McDowell who helped take such wonderful care of Steve over the past five weeks.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 02, 2021, at 3:00 pm, at Faith Tabernacle Church, with Mike Leonard officiating. The family will have a visitation one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Interment will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery.

THANKFUL - is what I want to say. THANKFUL - Steve was a part of the Davis clan. He accepted us all, as we did him. THANKFUL - He brought so much happiness to my sister Maria's life. THANKFUL - he loved Landon as a son. THANKFUL - for the help he gave to our family the last several years with daddy's illness. THANKFUL - He was an amazing singer and guitarist. With his voice he could join any gospel singing group and do a wonderful job. He could sing the new style gospel and especially sung the old style red hymnal. The last practice session we had at church, he sung and played his guitar. He was so happy, he thanked me several times that night and couldn't wait to do it again. He said he would be happy just to do back up. He could sing any Hinson song better than they could. One of the last songs he sung was "That I Could Still Go Free". Of course by The Hinsons. THANKFUL - He is now free. Free from sickness, free from pain. He is now singing in Heaven. What a time they must be having. THANKFUL - He got his miracle. THANKFUL - One day we will all be together again. THANKFUL......

I'm so sorry for you loss Marie & Landon. Steve was a sweet, kind hearted man. When he first came to Faith Tabernacle he was so shy. When we found out he could sing & play the guitar we were so excited! It took a while, but he finally played the guitar!! His voice was so Amazing! He finally came out of his shyness! He was just letting God move through him through his music. Now he is singing in a heavenly choir! You will be really missed! Who will make us laugh & smile when you smiled.🦋🦋
