Stephen Michael Long

     Stephen “Steve” Michael Long, 73, of Marion, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City.

     Steve was born in Marion, NC on January 31, 1950, to the late Bonnie Long Jolly. He was a lifelong resident of Marion and was a gentle, humble, and kind hearted person. Steve was known to be very quiet and very dependable. He was loved and respected by all who knew him.

     In addition to his mother, Steve was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Callahan.

     He is survived by two brothers, Van Hoyle Long (Phyllis) and James D. Long (Elizabeth); two sisters, Pamela K. Jolly and Shelia L. Pressley; and eleven nieces and nephews.

     The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Beam Funeral Service.
