Shirley Jeanette Stevens Laws

Shirley Jeanette Stevens Laws, 87, of Old Fort, passed away at Mountain Ridge Wellness Center on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

Shirley was born on June 28, 1939 to the late William Randolph Stevens, Sr., and Ruby Melton Stevens. She is also preceded in death by her husband, David Edward Laws, her son Steven David Laws, her grandson, David Allen Laws, and seven brothers, Calvin Stevens, Arnold Stevens, Sam Freeman, Dean Stevens. Bill Stevens, Norman Stevens and Jimmy Stevens.

She was attended Living Waters Tabernacle. Shirley loved to go camping where she could spend time outdoors. She was also a seamstress who used her talent to make quilts and she also loved to sing. Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who will be greatly missed.

Surviving Shirley are her children, Larry Laws (Becky), Tony Laws (Shelley), Dianne Revis (Melvin), Eddie Laws (Bobbie) and Chuck Laws (Heather); three sisters, Verdie Propst, Cindy Johnson (Tommy) and Rita Barnett; twelve grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren and two great-great grandsons.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday July 14, 2026 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Living Waters Tabernacle in Old Fort.. A funeral service for Shirley will take place the following day on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at 2:00 pm  officiated by Ken Massingill at the church. Burial will follow the service at Moffitt Hill Cemetery in Old Fort.
