Sherry Frances Boykin

Sherry Frances Boykin passed away peacefully at her home on October 2nd surrounded by love. After a journey with cancer, she is now home with her family and pets that have passed before her. Sherry was born May 31, 1950, in Lakeland, FL, to Bill and Betty (Randall) Boykin. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her two brothers, Donnie and David, and survived by her niece Melissa, nephews David Jr. And Taylor, and her spiritual sister Lee. 

Over the years, Sherry was a Jill of all trades working as an orthopedic tech, at Broyhill, and as a truck driver, amongst other things. Loving a simple life, Sherry enjoyed being surrounded by nature and immersing herself in a good book with her animals by her side. Her quick wit and her feisty personality were forces to be reckoned with. She will be greatly missed by all because she never met a stranger.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sherry's memory to the McDowell County Animal Shelter.
