Sharon Diane Ledford Bowman

Diane Bowman of Nebo, NC died peacefully at home and went to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 13th. Diane was born July 2, 1968, to the late Joe and Juanita Ledford. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Ledford and Danny Ledford and a nephew, Anthony Ledford.

Diane was a very kindhearted person with a loving gentle spirit; she was a friend to many and a very loving mother and was very devoted to her family. Diane’s greatest role in this life was the role of “Grandma.” Her love for her grandson Joshua knew no bounds. She never missed an opportunity to spend time with him. She was always up for a picnic, sleepover and the occasional theme park. She made sure that they made many unforgettable memories of their times together. She will be missed by all who know her love and kindness.

She is survived by her husband, Quinton Bowman and daughters, Samantha Bowman, Courtney Bowman and wife Rebecca Bowman, Caitlin Bowman and grandson Joshua King.

Left to cherish her memory are her sisters and brothers, Debbie Weaver and husband Barry of Spruce Pine NC, Lisa Suttle and husband Jeff of Marion, NC, Ronnie Ledford and wife Janet of Blue Rock, NC, Allen Ledford and wife Kathy of Bakersville, NC and Joey Ledford and wife Sheila of Forest City, NC. She is also survived by her niece Tammy Dawn Ortiz and husband Willie of Tampa FL as well as grand niece Kadence Ledford of Tampa, FL and grand nephew Brian Ortiz of Tampa FL, along with many other beloved nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Beam Funeral Service, 2170 Rutherford Road, Marion, NC on Wednesday July 1. 2026. Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM.
