Shane Dunn, 54, of Marion, passed away Saturday morning, May 2, 2026 at his residence with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Duplin County, North Carolina on September 26, 1971. Shane formerly worked in manufacturing for most of his life. He was an avid fisherman, and he enjoyed playing golf and softball. Most recently, Shane found a new passion in playing in an APA Pool League. His family meant the world to him, and his grandbabies were very special to him. Shane will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Earl Dunn.

Shane is survived by his wife, Crystal Dunn; his mother, Diane Dunn; six children, Lance Tilley, Brett Clontz (Diamond), Sarah Wall (Ryne), Rodney Clontz, Lela Woody (Gavin), and Shane Dunn, II; twelve grandchildren; and special friends who are more like brothers, Mikey Bradley and Wyman Hooser.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service. A funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. and will be officiated by Dr. Brian Bird. Burial will be at Pinnacle Baptist Church Cemetery following the service.
