Selita Dawn Lowman Jones

Selita Dawn Lowman Jones, 35, of Morganton, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 12, 2025 after an extended illness.

She was born in Valdese on January 3, 1990. Selita was very artistic and enjoyed making handmade bracelets. She was a hard worker, always looking to provide for her family. She always put others first and especially took great care of her family. A very smart and loving woman, Selita will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Bryan Zimmerman.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Wayne Jones; four children, Kendall, Kaylee, Cayden, and Carson; her parents, Monica and Lee Varney; two siblings, Tequila Queen and Declan Varney; and her maternal grandmother, Brenda Zimmerman Franklin.

The family will hold a celebration of Selita’s life on Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the Heavenly View Venue, located at 1661 Jamestown Road, Morganton, NC 28655.
