Scott Robert Ryan

     Scott Robert Ryan, 67, of Morganton, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at his residence.

     Scott was born in Chillicothe, Ohio, on August 1, 1959, to the late Barbara June Bruce and La Moine Ryan. He attended Denton’s Chapel in Morganton and was a dedicated fan of the UNC Tarheels and San Francisco 49ers. Scott loved all of his children and is now walking the streets of gold with his daughter, Brandy.

     In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by a daughter, Brandy Katherine Ryan; three brothers, and one sister.

     He is survived by a daughter, Amber Stapleton (Jesse); a son, Shaun Ryan (Raven); two sisters; eight grandchildren, Jesse, Jr. (Savana), Jacob, Emily, Danielle, Sarah, Jasmine, Alex, and Shaun, Jr. “Bug”; a great granddaughter, Hailey; a special nephew, Shannon Aughenbaugh; and a special brother, John E. Corpening.

     A memorial service will be held at a later date.
