Ruth Frady Riddle

Ruth Frady Riddle, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully at her residence on April 16, 2026. Born on January 19, 1941, in McDowell County, North Carolina, Ruth's life was one marked by love, dedication, and an enduring commitment to her family.

Throughout her 85 years, Ruth demonstrated a deep affection for her family, a passion for cooking, and an exceptional ability to nurture and raise many children, including her own grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her home was a place of warmth and care.

Ruth is survived by her loving sons Leonard Frady and his wife Misty, and Jeffrey Frady and his wife Charlene; her devoted daughter Rebecca Lane and her husband Steve; and a special friend, David Gibson. She is also survived by her sister, Pat Greer, as well as thirteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, and eleven great-great-grandchildren who will carry forward her legacy.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Leonard Frady and Jimmie Riddle, and her children Steven Frady, Kathy Franklin, and Donna Daves. The loss of these family members marks a poignant chapter in Ruth’s life, yet her memory remains vibrant through the family she so lovingly raised and the many lives she touched.

A visitation to honor Ruth's memory will be held on April 24, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory, located at 2170 Rutherford Rd, Marion, NC 28752. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at the same location at 2:00 PM, where family, friends, and community members will gather to celebrate her life.
