Ruby Faye Looper
Ruby Faye Lamb Looper, age 76, of Black Mountain, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, December 01, 2020 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville. The daughter of the late George and Emma Tilley Lamb, she was born in McDowell County, North Carolina on November 08, 1944.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her foster family, Alma Evans and Martha Evans; and four siblings, Bob Lamb, Ray Lamb, Ruth Porter, and Wilma Snyder.
Formerly employed at Washington Mills, Ruby enjoyed playing bingo and coloring. She was deeply loved by her family and her extended family at Mountain Ridge Health & Rehab in Black Mountain.
Ruby is survived by one son, Bobby Ray Hollifield; one daughter, Robin Pace (Bubby); two sisters Ann Deputy and Ginny Schweitzer; five grandchildren, Amiee Harwood, Megan Harwood, Amanda Harwood, Dustin Hollifield and Samuel Hollifield; and numerous great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 08, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at McDowell Memorial Park with Rev. Steve Painter officiating.
So very sorry to hear about Ruby. She was always apart of our family. She loved Grandma Evans, Alma, Lonnie and Mom. They always consider her their sister. I am sure I have pictures of her when she was young if you would like to have some. Please get in touch with me if you would like some and I will make sure you get them.
