Roy Dean Owens

Roy Dean Owens, 43, of Old Fort, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, July 09, 2022 at his residence.

He was born in McDowell County on June 20, 1979. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Jean Presnell.

Roy worked as a carpenter, and he was known to have a heart of gold. He was very family oriented and will be remembered as a loving son, father, and brother. He was very generous and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was 100% a mama & daddy’s boy.

He is survived by his parents Revonda and Ricky Lanning; his biological father, David Owens; his child, Myka Timber Owens; four siblings, Michelle Morris, Tim Owens, Mickey Owens (Robin), and Quinton Owens; maternal grandfather, Roger Presnell; his nieces and nephews, Casey Robinson (Wesley), Emma Laws (Charles), Tori Dowdy (Bradley), Darryl Scoggins (Bayleigh), Seth Andrews (Jordan), Tyla Owens, Serenity Owens, Winter Owens, River Owens, and London Rose; and numerous great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, including special cousins, Michael Wren and JR White.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory. No formal service will be held.
