Ronny Lynn Norman

Ronny Lynn Norman, 71, of Asheville, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, December 1, 2025.

A native of McDowell County, he was born July 12, 1954 to the late Wayne Norman and Hazel Johnson Norman.

Ron worked for his family’s propane business, and he later started his own small engine repair business, RCRV. He later became a security guard. A talented mechanic, he enjoyed tinkering with all kinds of machines. Ron was a hard worker and always put all his effort into whatever job he was working on. He had a witty sense of humor that he passed on to his family who he loved very dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Wayne Norman.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Goforth Norman; two children, Vanessa Norman (Ray Garcia) and Ronald Wayne Norman (Katie); and two grandchildren, Emileigh Norman and Amina Garcia.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
