Ronnie Loyd Stevens, cherished husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026, at his residence. Born on October 13, 1947, in McDowell County, Ronnie lived a life marked by dedication, passion, and a deep commitment to his family and community.
For over 52 years, Ronnie devoted himself to his career as an auto mechanic, proudly owning and operating Bud's Garage. His work was not just a profession but a calling, characterized by genuine care for his customers and an unwavering commitment to quality and trust. Ronnie’s love for hot rods and frequent visits to trade lots reflected his lifelong passion for automobiles.
Ronnie’s legacy is rich with fond memories of his warmth, generosity, and unwavering support. He was a loving husband to Naomi Wilson Stevens, with whom he shared 46 years of marriage filled with devotion and mutual respect. He is also remembered with affection by his son Christopher Stevens, his brother, Dean Stevens (Linda) and a sister Sharon Stevens Hogan (David). Ronnie’s family circle included numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a wide network of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyd Harrison Stevens and Marie Burleson Stevens.
Ronnie Loyd Stevens’ life was one of service, passion, and love. His impact will be remembered by all who knew him.
