Romana Annette Peterson

Romana Annette Peterson, 63, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away at her home on Thursday, September 15, 2022.

She was born in Germany on April 22, 1959 to the late Roger Peterson and Thelma Ruby Gaddy Peterson. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Roger T. Peterson, Jr.

Romana was a very smart lady and had earned a Bachelor degree. She will be remembered as very nice, loving, and caring. She loved the beach and her trips to Florida. She always wanted to return there. Romana’s dog Bella was her world, and she was always by her side.

She is survived by three children, Tiffany Tensley (Michael), Erik Wellnitz (Christina), and Heinz Peter Wellnitz (Tina); eleven grandchildren, Alexus, Jorja, Joslyn, Christian, Skyler, Erik, Emily, Megan, Zachary, Jonah, and Noah; four great grandchildren; her sister, Missy Cook; and her half siblings, Shari Shaffer and Rick Obenauer.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
