Rodney Mott Windhorst

     Rodney Mott Windhorst, 79, of Nebo, NC, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville.

     Rod was born in Minnesota on October 12, 1942, to the late Karl Windhorst and Mary Mott Windhorst. He was an aerospace engineer who enjoyed dancing and listening to music. He was an avid outdoorsman who always enjoyed being on the water. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

     Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Pansy McIntosh; his daughter, Jennifer Rohrig (Jeff); four step children, Angela Griffin (Glenn), Kym McIntosh, David McIntosh (Jennifer), and Susan McIntosh; and four grandchildren, Nicole Rohrig, Perrie Smith, Peyton Smith, and Savannah McIntosh.

     A service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
