Robert Dewey Johnston, Jr.

Robert Dewey Johnston, Jr., 67, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville.

Robert was born in Ohio on July 31, 1954, to the late Robert Dewey Johnston Sr. and Goldie Leslie Johnston. He was married to the love of his life, his wife of twenty five years, Shirley Marie Johnston, who passed away in 2018. Robert served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict. His loved ones will always cherish his memory.

In addition to his wife and parents, Robert is preceded in death by his grandparents, Emmett Dewey Johnston and Pauline Virginia Johnston.

Robert is survived by a brother, Don Johnston and wife Sandra of Rainsville, Alabama; and his beloved dog, Pixie.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
