Robert Lee Hall

Robert Lee Hall, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on April 12, 2026, at Memorial Mission Campus. Born on December 18, 1941, in McDowell County.

Robert devoted many years of his career to the American Thread company. He was a man of many interests, finding joy and fulfillment in working on cars, tending to his garden, and studying his family’s genealogy.

His family was the heart of Robert’s life. He shared an extraordinary 63 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Betty Hall. Together, they raised two wonderful daughters, Roberta Hall Hucks and her husband Thomas, and Lori Hall-Givens and her husband Kevin.

Robert's legacy extends through his beloved grandchildren—Elizabeth Chapman and her husband James, Ethan Bradley, Jessica Givens, Julia Givens, Sergei Hucks, Sasha Hucks, Vonya Hucks and her wife Angela—and his great-grandchildren, Elisha Chapman, Silas Chapman, and Oliver Hucks.

In keeping with his wishes no formal services will be held. He will be laid to rest at McDowell Memorial Park.
