Robert "Linzy" Gouge

Robert “Linzy” Gouge, 77, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday morning, May 30, 2023 at Autumn Care of Marion.

He was born April 11, 1946 to the late Dallas Green Gouge and Lillian Haynes Gouge. Linzy worked for many years at American Thread and later retired from there. He was a very simple man who enjoyed walking and being in the outdoors.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Warren Gouge; and two sisters, Joyce Brooks and Sue Reese.

He is survived by a brother, John Gouge (Betty); sister, Mary Burnette (Bill); and six nephews and one niece.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
