     Robert Daniel “Dan” Brown, 74, of Marion, NC, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, at The Greens at Spruce Pine.

 

     Dan was born in Marion, NC on April 5, 1949, to the late Clara Chapman and Graham Pendergrass. He was a conductor with CSX railroad, with whom he retired, after more than 40 years of dedicated service. Dan loved riding motorcycles and was a wondering soul with a quirky personality. He loved music and attended many live shows over the years. He will always be loved and missed by his family and friends.

 

     He is survived by four children, Melissa Danielle Dean, Camille Estella Pihourova (Andre Pihourov), Graham Brown (April Antoniak), and Patrick Brown; a sister, Patricia Pendergrass Davis; two brothers, Phillip Pendergrass and William Brown; and six grandchildren, Tyler Dean, Jack Dean, William Dean, Phillip Pihourov, Ella Brown, and Toran Brown.

 

     A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m.
