Robert "Bob" Thomas Clark

Robert ”Bob” Clark, age 64, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Burke Hospice in Valdese, NC. A native of McDowell County, he was born on October 20, 1954. He was the son of the late Jessie and Artie Clark.

Bob was known to be a very talented man. He enjoyed cooking, canning and sewing. He also had a green thumb and enjoyed spending time working in his greenhouse. Bob was the former owner and operator of the Nebo Casket Store, and co-owner of Deb’s Produce Market and Bait Shop. He was known by his family as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 46 years, Deborah Dover Clark; a daughter Janice Moore (Dwayne); a son Charlie Clark (Jennifer); also surviving four grandchildren; Donovan Moore, Chandler Moore, Emma Clark, Jessie Clark; along with a number of nieces and nephews and close friends.

A service to honor Mr. Clark will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Reverend Dennis Hensley officiating. Interment will follow at Murphy’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 p.m. prior to the service in the chapel.
