Rita Mae Duncan Hall, Born on December 9, 1946, age 79, of Marion, NC, passed into the arms of her Savior on June 10, 2026. Rita was a devoted follower of Christ who lived her life with unwavering faith, placing God first in all things.
Rita was a faithful member of the Church of Christ, where she found great joy and purpose in her church family. She firmly believed that when you put God first and family second, everything else in life would fall into place. This simple yet profound faith guided her every step and was evident in the love she showed to everyone around her.
She was married to the love of her life, Dennie Hall, for 61 beautiful years. Together they built a home rooted in faith, love, and family. Rita retired from Baxter Healthcare, where she was dearly loved by many colleagues and friends who became like family to her. Her kind heart, gentle spirit, and servant’s attitude left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her son, Chris Hall; granddaughter, Abigail Hall; her parents, Mary and Ben Duncan; and her sisters, Patsy Early and Sandra Grant.
Rita is survived by her devoted husband and best friend, Dennie Hall; son Brian Hall (Brenda); daughter-in-law Joy Hall; grandchildren Adam Hall, Ben Hall, and Brendan Hall; great-granddaughter Hazely Hall; sisters Janet Clark and Kay Crisp; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be deeply missed by her church family and all whose lives she touched.
Though we grieve her physical absence, we rejoice knowing Rita has received her eternal reward and is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, reunited with those who have gone before her. Her legacy of faith, love, and family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A celebration of her life and faith will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Marion Church of Christ, located at 765 State Street. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. A private burial will be held at McDowell Memorial Park at a later date.
“Well done, thou good and faithful servant…” (Matthew 25:21). Rita Mae Duncan Hall fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. She will be remembered always as a woman after God’s own heart.
