Rick McCall

Rick McCall, 68, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022 at his home.

He was born on May 28, 1954 at home in the North Cove community to the late Alvin George McCall and Sue Caroline Clontz McCall. He is also preceded in death by an aunt, Alma Childers.

Rick had a love for cars and engines and worked as an automobile mechanic his whole life. He enjoyed the beauty of nature and loved animals, especially the deer that frequently visited his property. He will be remembered as being down to earth, simple, and gentle. Rick was also a jokester who enjoyed having fun. He always wanted others to be happy.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; four children; fourteen grandchildren; his brother, Jeff McCall; and his loving cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at McDowell Memorial Park.
