Richard Brian Peek

     Richard Brian Peek, 53, of Fletcher, NC, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022, at his residence.

     Mr. Peek was born in McDowell County, NC on April 22, 1969, to Shirley Hurt Peek and the late Clyde Theodore Peek, Jr. He was a graduate of Western Carolina University and an investment banker. Mr. Peek enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and watching football. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his son. He will be greatly missed.

     Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Shirley Souther; his step father, Donald Souther; a son, Luka Peek; and a brother, Rodney Peek.

     A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, December 19, 2022 at the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service in Marion. Pastor Kevin Arrowood will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
