Richard Benjamin Gardin

Richard Benjamin Gardin, age 47, of Marion, passed away Friday, May 2, 2025 with family by his side.

He was born at Fort Jackson, South Carolina on February 2, 1978 to Linda Mae Bolick Gardin and the late Richard Allen Gardin.

Ben was employed as a night-shift supervisor at Tilson Machine in Marion. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hiking, camping, and fishing. He had an adventurous spirit that was especially evident in his desire to try new foods and activities. Ben will also be remembered for telling stories with vivid detail. He held a special place in his heart for his canine companions, Kane and Harley.

He is survived by his companion, Krista Miller; two children, Richard Corwin Gardin and Jayda Gardin; two bonus daughters, Melody Miller and Megan Frady; one grandchild, Ava Lambert; and four sisters, Angel Brittain, Danielle Taylor, Emily McIntosh, and Candace Huskins.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service.
