Richard M. Brennan

Richard M. Brennan, age 77, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 at his residence.  A native of Lyndhurst, New Jersey, born June 19, 1938, he was the son of the late William and Mary Burke Brennan. 

A man of many words, Richard was known to be outspoken, and could make you laugh when you were around him.   An avid sportsman, particularly baseball and football, he was a New York Yankees and New York Giants fan.  Richard always wanted to make sure his family was taken care of, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia “Trish” Brennan; and one granddaughter, Kristen Leese.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Janice Brennan; three children, Keith Ricci, Janice McKinney (Michael) and Scott Ricci (Connie); fourteen grandchildren, Michael, Rory, Jimmy, Eric, Megan, Kaitlyn, Daniel, Scott, John, Jacob, Caleb, Samantha, Emily and Alex; and nine great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by two stepchildren, Nancy Kelly and Paul Ricci.

In keeping with Richard’s wishes, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
