It is with profound respect and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Rev. Donald Lee Justice Sr., a devoted servant of God, loving husband, and cherished family man. Born on March 22, 1950, in McDowell County, Rev. Justice’s life was marked by unwavering faith and dedication to his community until his peaceful passing on June 2, 2026, at his residence.

Rev. Justice’s journey was deeply rooted in spiritual service and compassionate outreach. A member of Solid Rock Free Will Baptist Church-Nebo for the last three years of his life, he found great joy and purpose in supporting and uplifting those around him. His commitment to the Lord was evident throughout his years as an ordained Free Will Baptist minister, a calling he fulfilled with grace and humility. He served as pastor at Emmanuel FWB Church for over 15 years. Prior to his ordination, he faithfully served as a Deacon, exemplifying steadfast devotion and leadership.

He will be remembered as a man who earnestly loved the Lord and cherished the opportunity to help others, always embodying kindness and spiritual strength.

Rev. Justice is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Brenda Morris Justice.  He was a proud father to Donald "Bubba" Justice Jr., Daniel Justice and his wife Krystal, and Dixie Cope and her husband J.B., his siblings Helen Wills and Dean Justice (and spouse Gay-Nell) along with his grandchildren Austin Cope and his wife Miranda, Kelly Morgan and husband, Michael, and  his great-grandchildren Kay Morgan, Carson Cope, Jaxon Morgan, and Piper Morgan. His family was further enriched by many special friends, including Ronnie and Debbie Burgin and Donnie Roland, whose lives he touched profoundly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Winfred Justice and Lennie Mae Pope Justice, whose memories live on in the hearts of all who knew Rev. Justice.

The community will gather to honor and remember Rev. Donald Lee Justice Sr. through visitation on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed immediately by the funeral service at 4:00 PM  at Solid Rock Free Will Baptist Church-Nebo, located at 7856 NC-226, Nebo, NC 28761. Rev. J.B. Cope, Mr. Austin Cope and Rev. Bill Wilson will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Bradley Family Cemetery.

Rev. Justice’s life was a testament to faith, service, and compassion. His legacy will endure through his family, his ministry, and the countless lives he touched with his unwavering love for the Lord and his fellow man. He leaves behind a lasting impression of devotion, humility, and kindness that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
