Rena Louise Roland Strickland

Mrs. Rena Louise Roland Strickland, age 78, of Marion, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 15, 2023. She was born in McDowell County on August 31, 1945 to the late Pless Tom Roland and Maine Thomas Whitesides.

Rena was a member of the Grandview Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher. She loved to knit and crochet. Everyone knew her as a loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include three sons, Floyd Bradshaw, Lloyd Bradshaw (Wendy) and David Bradshaw (Pam); six grandchildren Cody Bradshaw, Alexis Bradshaw, Malachi Harper, Chloe Bradshaw, Tristin Bradshaw and Ransom Bradshaw; two great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Grandview Baptist Church, on Friday, October 20, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., at the church.
